What VYVE Link is

A free Windows app that watches your DJ software and streams the current track into DJOS. Now Playing, the guest request page, and the venue TV stay accurate on their own.

What it sends

Once connected to a live event, VYVE Link sends the current track and artist, and on fully supported software the real mixer state: which deck is audible, and fader and crossfader positions. That is what lets DJOS show the track the room is hearing rather than the one you just loaded on the other deck.

Only performance data is sent. No audio and no music files are uploaded, copied, or streamed anywhere.

Standalone hardware

For AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ all-in-one units (XDJ-XZ, OPUS-QUAD, XDJ-AZ, XDJ-RX3, XDJ-RX2, XDJ-RX, XDJ-RR, XDJ-AN, OMNIS-DUO), VYVE Link reads the unit’s MIDI output directly, so it knows what the physical mixer is doing. These units send that data automatically; there is no setting to change on the unit. For other standalone hardware, the built-in MIDI Calibration Wizard maps it in a few guided steps and saves the result as a profile.

Installing and connecting

    Download VYVE Link
    From joinvyve.io/vyve-link. Windows 10 or newer.

    Click Authorize with VYVE
    A browser page opens. Sign in if needed and pick which live DJ event to connect to.

    Confirm
    VYVE Link remembers the connection across restarts. You should not need to authorize again each night.
  4. 4
    Open your DJ software
    VYVE Link detects it and starts sending deck data as soon as a track is playing.
Note
Not required
DJOS works without VYVE Link. Type the track and artist into Now Playing on the Live tab instead.

Requirements

Windows 10 or newer, one of the supported DJ apps, and an internet connection on that laptop.
