How a round works

One player judges each round while everyone else submits an answer. Then the judge role moves to the next player.

The round, step by step

  1. 1
    A judge is assigned
    The host panel and the TV show who is judging. Judges rotate every round.
  2. 2
    A prompt is revealed on the TV
    A fill-in-the-blank sentence from the chosen pack.
  3. 3
    Players submit from their phones
    Each non-judge picks an answer from their hand. The host panel shows who is still deciding.
  4. 4
    Submissions lock
    Lock Submissions on the host panel closes the round and moves to the reveal.
  5. 5
    Answers are revealed one at a time
    The host reveals each answer on the TV. Reveal progress is saved, so a separate TV stays in step with the host’s phone.
  6. 6
    The judge picks a winner
    Live, in front of the room. That player scores the round.
  7. 7
    The judge role rotates
    The next round starts with a new judge.

  1. 1Join codeGuests open joinvyve.io/play/CODE and pick a nickname. Copy Join Link puts it on the clipboard.
  2. 2Push To Venue DisplayThe prompt, the reveal, and the judge's pick show on the TV.
  3. 3Queued and activeUp to eight play at once. Everyone else waits in the queue and rotates in.
  4. 4JudgeRotates every round. The host is not the judge.
  5. 5Lock SubmissionsCloses the round and starts the reveal. Skip Prompt draws a new prompt with no penalty.
Interactive: Lock Submissions moves the round to the reveal.

Skipping a prompt

If a prompt does not land, Skip Prompt on the host panel draws a new one for the same round with no penalty to anyone.

Note
The night’s winner is cumulative
Wins are counted across every game in the session, not only the last round. The host panel’s leaderboard tracks the whole night, so a prize at the end reflects everything played.
