Runtime controls and guest intake

Control exactly what guests can send in at any moment, and shut everything down with one button if something needs handling.

The four intake toggles

ToggleControls
Song requestsWhether guests can submit new requests.
ReactionsWhether guests can tap reactions.
ShoutoutsWhether guests can send messages for the screen.
PhotosWhether guests can upload to the photo wall.

Each toggle is independent. A common pattern is closing requests near the end of the night while leaving reactions and the photo wall open. Reactions have no cooldown between taps; requests, shoutouts, photos, and poll votes have a short per-device cooldown to stop spam.

Pause all guest intake

One button closes requests, reactions, shoutouts, and photos together. It exists for the moment something inappropriate comes through and you want a beat to deal with it without hunting for four switches. Turning any single toggle back on afterwards reopens just that channel.

  1. 1Go Live / End LiveMakes the guest link work and connects the event to the venue TV. End Live reverses it.
  2. 2Now PlayingFilled in by VYVE Link, or typed here. Shows on the guest page and the TV.
  3. 3Room energyDriven by guest reactions. Feeds the Energy TV mode.
  4. 4Intake togglesEach channel opens and closes on its own. A closed channel disappears from guests' phones.
  5. 5Pause allCloses every channel at once for a mid-night incident. Any single toggle reopens just that one.
Interactive: Pause all closes every channel; press it again to resume.
Note
Guests never see a lock message
When a channel is closed, its option simply does not appear on the guest’s phone. There is no “disabled” notice. Closing intake reads as calm, not as an incident.

Where the toggles live

All four toggles and the pause button are on the Live tab in DJOS. They also appear in the event’s DJOS settings, so a manager can set the defaults before the DJ arrives.
