Screen calibration

Most venues never touch this. It exists for one case: a TV that cuts something off at the edge of the picture.

If nothing looks cut off on your TV, there is nothing to do here. Every screen ships with a sensible default margin already applied.

Why edges get cut off

Many consumer TVs zoom in a few percent on everything they show and crop a thin margin all the way around, a leftover from broadcast television that most sets still apply by default. It has nothing to do with how much VYVE puts on screen. Calibration tells DisplayOS how much margin to leave on each edge so everything stays inside the part of the picture your TV actually shows.

Adjusting it

    Open the venue’s DisplayOS page
    Venues, select the venue, then DisplayOS. Scroll to Your Displays. If the venue has more than one screen, each has its own calibration.

    Drag the four sliders while watching the TV
    Top, Right, Bottom, and Left. A couple of percent is usually enough. The Live Preview on the page shows what is rendering.
  3. 3
    Done
    There is no save button. Every change goes to the screen as you make it.

Interactive: switch which screen you are controlling. Everything below the header follows the selected screen.

Alternatives on the TV itself

Some TVs have a picture setting called Just Scan, Screen Fit, or Overscan Off that stops the crop entirely. If you can find it, that is a cleaner fix than calibration, and you can leave the sliders at zero.
