Connecting Rekordbox

Rekordbox gets VYVE Link’s fullest support: live Active Deck Intelligence, and direct MIDI reading of AlphaTheta and Pioneer DJ standalone units.

Setup

    Install VYVE Link
    Download from joinvyve.io/vyve-link. Windows 10 or newer.
  2. 2
    Authorize with VYVE
    Open VYVE Link, click Authorize with VYVE, and pick your live event in the browser page that opens.
  3. 3
    Open Rekordbox
    Launch it as you normally would. VYVE Link detects it on its own.
  4. 4
    Play a track
    Now Playing in DJOS updates when Rekordbox reports an audible deck.

Standalone units

On an AlphaTheta or Pioneer DJ all-in-one (XDJ-XZ, OPUS-QUAD, XDJ-AZ, XDJ-RX3, XDJ-RX2, XDJ-RX, XDJ-RR, XDJ-AN, OMNIS-DUO) connected to the laptop, VYVE Link reads the unit’s MIDI output directly for real mixer awareness. These units run in external mixer mode automatically, so there is no toggle to find in Rekordbox or on the unit.

Other or older hardware
VYVE Link’s MIDI Calibration Wizard maps an unsupported standalone unit through a short guided flow and saves it as a profile for next time.
