Quick fixes for a night in progress
Three problems, the checks in the order they usually resolve, and what to do so the night keeps going while you sort it out. Big type on purpose. Bookmark this page on the booth laptop.
The TV went black or is stuck
The venue screen is blank, frozen on an old scene, or ignoring what you push.
- 1Look at the device driving the TV, not the TV. Is it awake and online?Wake it. If Wi-Fi dropped, reconnect it or move it to ethernet.
- 2In DJOS, check the header: is the event live and is the scene you expect showing? If the event ended, press Go Live. If not, push the scene again from the Display tab.
- 3More than one screen or venue? Confirm you pushed to the one you are looking at.Use the Controlling tabs on the venue's DisplayOS page.
- 4Reload the browser tab on the display device. It fetches the current state fresh. This is the last resort, not the first.
Push the Request QR scene so guests can still join, then keep going. The wall and the queue keep working in DJOS even if the TV is being difficult.
Requests and reactions stopped coming in
The queue went quiet, guests say the page will not load, or the QR does nothing.
- 1Is the event still live? Look at the DJOS header.Press Go Live if it shows draft or ended.
- 2Are the intake toggles open? Check the Live tab.Turn Song requests, Reactions, Shoutouts, and Photos back on, or press Resume all if you paused everything.
- 3Ask one guest to type joinvyve.io/go/CODE by hand, using the code on the TV.If it loads, the printed QR was from an older event. Use the code on screen.
- 4Ask whether their phone has any signal or Wi-Fi.A packed room kills cell signal. If venue Wi-Fi exists, put the name on the TV or the mic.
Open Show QR on the Requests tab and hold the laptop or a phone up at the bar. The code on screen is always current.
Now Playing stopped syncing
You changed tracks and DJOS, the guest page, and the TV still show the old one.
- 1Look at VYVE Link on the laptop. Does it read Connected to this event? If Disconnected, click Authorize with VYVE and pick the event again.
- 2Is the laptop online? A booth in a dead Wi-Fi corner is common.A phone hotspot is enough; VYVE Link sends very little data.
- 3Is a track actually playing on an audible deck?VYVE Link reports what the software reports. On Serato, the title can change early on a crossfade.
Type the track and artist into Now Playing on the DJOS Live tab. Everything shows what you last saved.
